今天凌晨，根据《太阳报》爆料，汤姆·克鲁斯在《碟中谍7》拍摄现场因发现两名工作人员未遵守防疫规则而对其大声斥责。当时有两名片场工作人员在一台电脑屏幕前间距不足一米，未遵守“两人之间必须间隔两米”以上的防疫准则。

汤姆·克鲁斯所斥责的具体内容为：
“We want the gold standard. They’re back there in Hollywood making movies right now because of us! Because they believe in us and what we’re doing!”

此番汤姆·克鲁斯因为片场工作人员未遵守防疫准则而大发雷霆并不是毫无原因的，因为此前《碟中谍7》在威尼斯的拍摄就因为剧组成员中有12人感染新冠肺炎而被迫叫停。由于《碟中谍7》与《碟中谍8》在原定的计划中是背靠背拍摄的方式进行的，所以两部电影的档期均受影响延期——原定为2021年7月23日上映的《碟中谍7》现延期至2021年11月19日，而原定于2022年8月5日上映的《碟中谍8》现延期至2022年11月4日。 

两周前，《碟中谍7》剧组已经移师英国继续拍摄，汤姆·克鲁斯本人一直在敦促剧组成员遵守防疫准则、确保本片不会出现再度延期。据《太阳报》报道称，他甚至个人出资买下了一艘价值为50万英镑的旧邮轮，仅供剧组成员以及工作人员居住以实现完全的隔离。
